11 COVID-19 deaths reported Friday, total cases cross 30,000

Kathmandu, Aug 21- Nepal reported 11 COVID-19 deaths Friday recording the largest spike in a day. The death toll has now reached 137.

A total number of 838 persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday as the total infection crossed 30,000.

Health Ministry Spokesperson Dr Jageshwore Gautam said during the daily press briefing that the total number of cases now has increased to 30,483. Similarly, 250 persons have recovered in the past 24 hours taking the total to 18,214.

The government has conducted over 579,899 PCR tests across the country until now.
