Teachers, staffs and civic leaders of the academy have started a ‘cleansing campaign’ with the demand to keep the academy free from political interference and maintain academic dignity. The previous government led by KP Sharma Oli had also arrested people associated with the foundation and civic leaders. The arrest further exposed the irresponsibility of the outgoing government. Bhattarai has commented.
Bhattarai said it was saddening for the nation as a whole to go downhill due to the unnecessary interference of the government and the ruling party and the appointment of incompetent officials.
“We have always maintained that every appointment in universities, institutes and other academic fields should be in accordance with the established standards and in a manner that upholds the dignity of the field of work and the nature of work,” Bhattarai said in a public appeal. I have faith. ‘
“The arrest of peace activists and civic leaders has further exposed the irresponsibility of the outgoing government in addressing the ongoing campaign of the outgoing government as an opportunity to end the distortions and inconsistencies in the medical education sector,” he wrote.
