Monsoon will be active from Monday

Kathmandu, July 25 – The monsoon has been active since Monday with light to moderate rains in most parts of the country. Senior Meteorologist Varun Poudel said that there is a possibility of rain in most parts of the country from Monday as the monsoon low pressure line is gradually approaching the Terai region of Nepal.

“As the line is likely to reach the Terai region of Nepal by tonight, the monsoon is active and there is a possibility of rain till Wednesday,” said meteorologist Poudel. The Department of Water and Meteorology has issued warnings and advice for the next 24 hours.

The department has requested to take necessary precaution as the water level in rivers and streams may rise due to the risk of soil erosion, landslides and drift in hilly areas.

Light rain is falling in some places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in most places and heavy rain in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and one or two places in the far western region.

It is said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in many places across the country on Monday. According to the latest details of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley is 22.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 31.5 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, the minimum temperature of Jumla is 17.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature of Nepalgunj is 36.5 degrees Celsius.
