How many vaccines from where, how many to come?

Kathmandu, July 29 – After being appointed as the Prime Minister, the first cabinet meeting of the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government decided to provide vaccines to all citizens. After receiving a vote of confidence in parliament, Prime Minister Deuba also announced his first priority, vaccination, vaccination and vaccination three times.

The above two examples confirm the government’s priority in vaccination.

The previous government was also working on vaccination as a priority. The government formed on July 13 has also given priority to vaccination to protect the people from the corona virus.

The government has bought it itself, various countries have brought the vaccine through grants and through the Covax program. The government has set a target of vaccinating 72 percent of the total population, or 21.5 million in the first priority, and 49.9 million in the 12- to 18-year-old age group. A total of 53.5 million doses are needed to vaccinate all of them.

Dr. Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, said that the disease could be controlled and social and economic activities could be carried out if 60 percent of the total population was vaccinated. Covishield 24.48 million, Verosel 5.8 million and Johnson & Johnson 1.534 million 850 vaccines have been received. Of these, 348,000 Covishields from India and 1.534 million Johnson & Johnson from the United States, 2.9 million from foreign grants, 1.8 million from China and 1.1 million from India through the Covax facility. Similarly, the government is scheduled to reach Nepal in the first week of September with a grant of Rs 1.6 million from China, Rs 6 million from China by mid-September and one million from India.

So far, 35 lakh 44 thousand 43 people have been vaccinated in the first dose and 15 lakh three thousand 312 people in Nepal.
