The government has appointed Madhu Prasad Regmi, a resident of Kathmandu, as the chairperson of the Teachers Service Commission

Kathmandu, August 3 – The government has appointed Madhu Prasad Regmi, a resident of Kathmandu, as the chairperson of the Teachers Service Commission. A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday appointed Regmi as the chairman of the commission.

Government spokesperson and Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that Kathmandu residents Dilliram Rimal and Nanda Kumari Maharjan have been appointed as members of the commission to play a role in the appointment of teachers and career development.

Likewise, the cabinet meeting on Tuesday decided to appoint the following persons who have made significant contribution to the national life as members of the Vibhushan Committee, said Minister Karki.

According to Minister Karki, former Vice Chancellor of Far Western University Bhushan Shrestha, former registrar of Tribhuvan University Govinda Prasad Sharma, artist Madandas Shrestha, entrepreneur Kush Prasad Malmi, engineer Omprakash Mahato Sundi and former general Nar Bahadur Kandel have been nominated in the decoration committee.
