Blood donation from more than 21 Lions Clubs of International Lions Club 325 A2 District

Kathmandu, Aug 7- The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has been providing 500 grants per person to the blood donation organizations.
This was stated by Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Bidyasundar Shakya while distributing certificates to the blood donors at a blood donation program organized in Basantapur of the capital today.
He thanked the blood donors and the organizers and said that the vaccine against corona is needed now more than PCR. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has said that vaccination is being carried out for the residents of Kathmandu in coordination with almost all the ward offices.

Keshav Pandey, District Governor of Lions Club International 325 A2, said that the Lions Club, which has branches in more than 200 countries of the world, is working in five areas in Nepal including Sugar, Environment, Child Cancer and Hunger Relief. Pandey said a club is working on a plan to work effectively for public school students.

In conjunction with former Governor of 325A2, Biju Bajracharya, today’s blood donation and free check-up of blood pressure and sugar was done.

Bajracharya said that he was very upset and saddened by the corona virus and was motivated to join the blood donation program before becoming more active.

He informed that the blood donation program was organized with the active participation of more than 21 Lions Clubs under the International Lions Club 325 A2 District in the capital with the objective of saving the lives of the people due to lack of blood.

Dinesh Shrestha, District Vice Governor of 325 A2, Uttam Jha, Second Vice Governor, Secretary Shib Kumar Katuwal, Area Cheer Person Bharat Prasai, Region Cheer Person Ambika Bhattarai, Zone Cheer Person Yogend Pratap Shahi and other officials of the club were present on the occasion. On the occasion, Smile for Nepal YouTube channel has also been launched.
