‘Constitution ensures rights of all’

Biratnagar, March 16- State-1 Chief Prof Dr Govinda Bahadur Tumbahang has said the constitution has guaranteed the rights of people from all castes and communities.

Inaugurating the fifth national general convention of the Nepal Dashnami Society here today, he said the Dashnami community had struggled much for its identity and rights.

“The Dashnami society has adopted the principle of the creation of a violence-free society and of the reconciliation,” he said, adding that mutual unity and the ‘we’ feeling should be developed by protecting the identity and originality of all communities.

Biratnagar metropolis mayor Bhim Parajuli urged the Dashnami people to further unite for advancement of their rights and identity.

Society office bearers Rajendra Giri, Rabindra Prasad Giri, Dinesh Chandra Giri, Maheshwor Bharati, Rudra Giri, Dilliram Giri and Junum Giri cited their expression that the Dashnami community was listed in the constitution due to relentless efforts of the society. Society patron Jayaram Puri was honoured on the occasion.
