Kathmandu, Aug 28-Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal is in home quarantine after a staffer who would frequently go to the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) office in Chhauni tested positive for COVID-19.
A source close to Minister Dhakal said he is in quarantine after the staffer tested positive as he regularly goes to Chhauni.
Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwore Pokharel and Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa are also in home quarantine due to the same reason.
“They both frequent Chhauni. A staffer who regularly goes there has been confirmed positive,” a source confided with Nepalijanta. “They have stayed in home quarantine. They may also undergo PCR test now.”
Ruling CPN has postponed the secretariat meeting called on Saturday until September 3 most probably due to home isolation of the two ministers who are both members of the nine-strong secretariat.
A meeting of CPN Chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal has decided to postpone the meeting called to discuss the report submitted by the Bishnu Paudel led task force formed to resolve the internal dispute in the party.
