Violence and looting are rampant in South Africa

Kathmandu, July 21 – A South African minister has said the situation has returned to normal in recent days following a spate of violence and looting. According to the minister, the situation is normal in the two provinces where violence and looting have taken place before and no such incidents have taken place.

Minister Khumbujo Ntisaveni said on Tuesday that no such looting had taken place. Violence has erupted in two South African states in recent days. Minister Khumbujo told a news conference on Tuesday evening that there had been no such violence in the two provinces of Kazulu and Guten for the past 24 hours.

Former South African President Jacob Zuma has been jailed on corruption charges. In that process, violence has started there. He said that the situation was returning to normal and there were no violent incidents and shopping malls closed due to looting were open.

Zuma’s supporters also staged violent protests in South Africa. A large number of police have been deployed in the violence-hit province.
