Kathmandu, August 3 – Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal to appoint Kulman Ghising in the Nepal Electricity Authority. According to Deuba’s secretariat, Bhusal has been instructed to appoint Ghising as the executive director of the authority after completing the necessary process.
About a year ago, after the completion of his term, the then KP Oli government had appointed Hitendra Dev Shakya as the executive of NEA. The Deuba government is preparing to remove him, saying his work is unsatisfactory.
Kulman, who became popular among the people by ending 14 hours of load shedding daily, had ended load shedding in four years and raised the authority of NEA.
At that time, the Oli government did not appoint him, despite calls for his reappointment.
