Kathmandu, August 8 – National Assembly Member Dr. Khimlal Devkota has questioned the action to be taken by the minister and secretary of the ministry sitting in a secret room and demanded to keep it visible in such a room on CCTV.

Speaking at a meeting of the National Assembly on Sunday, Devkota said that the rule achieved by the ministers and secretaries sitting in secret rooms had not achieved the expected results. He said that the people should be able to see him working in a secret room.

He said that if this is done, unnecessary meetings will be stopped and the habit of leaving the office and going to the programs of NGOs and INGOs will be improved.

He said, “The regime has changed so much, but there are complaints that the people are not getting the service they expected.” Every organ of the state should be continuously active to improve the service delivery.

It is important to be creative. Transparency and accountability are equally important. Let this government do something in this regard, our own Speaker and Parliament Secretariat have also implemented it.

A CCTV camera should be placed inside the room so that the ministers and secretaries of each ministry can see the work done in a secret room inside. The regime that sat in a secret room did not achieve the expected results.

The rulers were not transparent. People should be able to see the face of the secret room. If it had only been transparent, the President’s Office would not have dared to dissolve the Parliament at two o’clock in the morning.

This prevents unnecessary encounters. The habit of arriving at the office on time develops. Leaving the office improves the programs of NGOs, INGOs and the habit of cutting ribbons unnecessarily. ‘

He said the government should not deviate from common policies and programs. He said that a political mechanism should be formed to run the government and the suggestions of the mechanism should be implemented.
