Afghanistan, July 19 – At least 950 Taliban fighters have been killed in security operations in Afghanistan. More than 500 others were injured in the incident, according to government officials. The details are said to be from the last four days.

Clashes between security forces and Taliban fighters have been reported in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country. Security officials said that security measures had to be taken as the militant group was continuing its violent activities.

Some cities and areas have been claimed to be under Taliban control. Among them, Parwana of Sorkh-e-Parsa district and Ghazni of Milestan district have been taken under control by the security personnel. However, Mirmoz in Chakhansur district was recaptured by the militants, according to news sources.

Fighting also broke out between security forces and Taliban fighters in Afghanistan’s northeastern province of Takhar. Authorities say government security forces are trying to retake areas controlled by Taliban fighters.
