Sarlahi, July 28 – The bodies of three people, including a nine-day-old baby, have been found drowning in a private pond at Brahmapuri Gaonpalika-3 Bhelhi of Sarlahi district. The bodies of 26-year-old Rikewadevi Kapad, 18-month-old daughter Rama and nine-day-old son Suryawansh Chaudhary have been found drowned in a pond, said Shyam Sah, Ward Chairman of Bramhi.
Ward Chairman Sah informed that the incident became public after the locals saw the body of Rikewadevi in the pond this morning. He informed that the mental balance of the woman was not right.
According to police, Sanjeev Kapad, who went out in search of his wife after leaving the house with her child, has not reached home yet. Sarlahi Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Budhathoki said that he could not be contacted as he did not have a mobile phone with him.
The bodies of the three have been taken out of the pond and brought to the District Hospital, Malangwa for autopsy, said Sarlahi Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh Rathore. He said that necessary investigation is underway into whether it is suicide or murder.
