Minister of State urges Minister of State for Health to prepare schedule for vaccination within September

Kathmandu, July 29 – Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has requested to revise the corona vaccination schedule and move ahead with the process so that the vaccination can be done within the coming September. In a meeting with Minister of State for Health Umesh Shrestha at the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, he requested to purchase the vaccine immediately by amending the schedule for supplying the vaccine to Falgun.

Stating that there will be no shortage of budget for the purchase of vaccines, Minister Sharma urged to import vaccines from any country through day and night talks.

He pointed out that the country’s economy could be trapped if vaccination is not given within September. As the country’s economy is linked to the lives of the people, he expressed his commitment to purchase vaccines even if the budget allocated for development is exchanged.

Minister Sharma has expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in giving the vaccines to the target community.

During the discussion, Minister of State for Health Shrestha said that arrangements have been made for the purchase of vaccines and if necessary, the supply schedule will be revised. He said there would be no delay in purchasing the vaccine as soon as possible.

Minister of State Shrestha has assured that an action plan has been prepared for the vaccination received and now the vaccination program will be accelerated in a planned manner.
