Three persons have gone missing in a boat accident on the Karnali River.

Kathmandu, August 1 – Three persons have gone missing in a boat accident on the Karnali River. Those traveling from Mohanyal village municipality-3 of Kailali to Chowkune village municipality-4 of Surkhet have met with an accident.

Parvati Thapa, 20, of Mohanyal Gaonpalika-3, Urmila Salamigar, 20, of Mohanyal Gaonpalika-3 and her 10-year-old son have gone missing.

There were 10 people in the boat. Police said that they met with an accident while going to Surkhet from Kailali to get vaccinated.

Two persons have been injured in the accident. The other five are safe. Among the injured are Dhansara Salami Magar of Mohanyal-3 and his one-month-old son Karna. According to police, the condition of 19-year-old Dhansara is critical. The condition of the ear is normal.

A police team has been deployed at the spot from Sugarkhal in Kailali and Babiyachaur in Surkhet.
