‘Delivery’ of map from Land Reforms Minister stopped

Kathmandu, May 24- Land Reforms Minister Padma Aryal has been congratulated after the Council of Ministers passed a new map of Nepal’s encroached territory. She had taken the proposal to the cabinet and she is also working hard to prove that Nepal’s claim is confirmed.

Once the new map is passed, it is the government’s responsibility to establish it internationally. Experts are suggesting that new maps be sent to various international missions, including the United Nations.
However, Minister Aryal’s priorities fell on the leaders of his own country. She started making ‘home delivery’ of expensive maps with attractive frames in the houses of top leaders of various parties.

Minister Aryal has reached the residences of about a dozen leaders till yesterday and distributed maps. Most of them are leaders of his own party. Minister Aryal’s campaign has been closed since Sunday. According to his secretariat, the minister will no longer carry the map to the residences of additional leaders.

It was unnecessary and futile for the minister to distribute maps by visiting the houses of the leaders including the party. Some criticized it on social media as saying that Minister Aryal was trying to please his leaders by abusing the state coffers.

Minister for Land Reforms Aryal’s personal secretary Buddha Gharti said that the distribution of new maps by the minister has ended from today.
