Kathmandu, July 25 – The share market index Nepse has reached an all-time high. On the first trading day of the year, the index rose by 54.31 points to 3,058.63 points. Earlier, the Nepse index had reached 3,032 points.
Chairman of the Nepal Investors Forum Chhotel Lal Rauniyar said that a new record has been set in the Nepse index.
“There is new enthusiasm in the market. Nepse has set a new record,” said Chairman Rauniyar. He said that there was a lot of enthusiasm in the transaction amount in the double digit market.
Of the 13 subgroups traded on Sunday, share prices of 11 groups had risen. Today, the banking subgroup grew the most at 3.43 percent.
A total of 44.1 million shares of 223 companies were traded in the secondary market, resulting in a turnover of more than Rs 14.30 billion.
Shares of 136 companies rose on Sunday, with shares of nine companies trading on circuit labels.
