Three people have died in Pokhara and Baitadi districts due to electric shock.

Kathmandu, August 5 – Three people have died in Pokhara and Baitadi districts due to electric shock. Mrig Singh Nepali, 34, of Milanchowk, Pokhara Metropolitan City-25, died on Wednesday afternoon due to electric shock.

He was seriously injured when the iron rod touched the high-tension line of the electricity while weaving the rod of the pillar of the house under construction at Hemja Sapkota Chowk. The Nepali died while undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, according to police.

Similarly, a brother died due to electric shock in Surnaya village municipality-5 of Baitadi district. Santosh Chand, 21, and his brother Amrit Chand, 18, died of electrocution on Wednesday night. He died on the spot after being electrocuted by a power line left for a wild bundle in Makaibari, police said.

Police said that they are conducting further investigation into the incident.
