Kathmandu, August 9 – The winner of the Everest Premier League (EPL) will receive a trophy. Organizer EPL Pvt. Ltd. unveiled the trophy at a function on Monday.
According to the organizers, the trophy of the EPL has been made by the company that made the trophy for the ICC Cricket World Cup. Organizer EPL Managing Director Amir Akhtar said that the trophy was special.
The fourth edition of the EPL is being held at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from September 26 to 30.
Six franchise teams will compete for this trophy. The fourth edition of the EPL, scheduled for 2020, has been postponed by a year due to the Corona epidemic.
The EPL, recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC), will also feature world-renowned cricketers.
This time, Kathmandu Kings 11 has signed Shahid Afridi of Pakistan. Similarly, Chitwan Tigers have also signed Danis Aziz of Pakistan.
The Lalitpur Patriots last won the third edition in 2018. Along with Lalitpur, Kathmandu Kings 11, Biratnagar Warriors, Bhairahawa Gladiators, Chitwan Tigers and Pokhara Rhinos will compete in the EPL.
