Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has been awarded honorary membership of the Nepal Economic Association.

Kathmandu, August 9 – Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has been awarded honorary membership of the Nepal Economic Association. Minister Sharma was given honorary membership in the Economic Association, which is also a common body of economists.

Understanding the membership certificate on the occasion, Minister Sharma pointed out the need for a mechanism to link expertise with the Ministry of Finance. Minister Sharma said that the Ministry of Finance or the government alone would not be enough to run the country’s economy.

On the occasion, Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini said that he was aware of the fact that pride could be instilled in the employees and expressed his commitment not to allow such a thing to happen. He said that he would move ahead by incorporating the knowledge and experience of experts while deciding any policy and plan.

Professor Bishwambhar Pyakurel, President of the Nepal Economic Association, said that they have been assisting the Ministry of Finance in formulating the economic policy of the country and expressed their commitment to continue this process in the days to come.

Economist Dr. Bhavani Dhungana, Dr. Distinguished personalities including Shivraj Adhikari and Gopal Tiwari were also present.
