In Kathmandu Valley alone, 1,186 people were infected

Kathmandu, August 10 – The number of corona infections has skyrocketed across the country in the last 24 hours. In Kathmandu Valley alone, 1,186 people have been infected. Of them, 795 are infected in Kathmandu district, 239 in Lalitpur and 151 in Bhaktapur.

In Province 1, Jhapa has the highest number of 297, Gandaki has 294 in Kaski, Lumbini has 53 in Rupandehi, Karnali has 35 in Surkhet and Kailali has 24 in the far west.

According to the Ministry of Health, corona infection was confirmed in 4904 people across the country on Tuesday. Earlier, the infection was confirmed in 3,651 people across the country on Monday.

According to the ministry, a test of 19,123 people on Tuesday confirmed the infection in 4,904 people. In the same period, 35 people have died and 2115 people have been infected.

At the same time, the number of corona infections across the country has exceeded 720,000 in PCR tests and 71,198 in antigen tests.

Of those infected, 673,198 have been cured so far and 10,150 have died.

At present, 37,332 people are actively infected across the country while 176 are on ventilators and 761 are in ICU. So far, the corona recovery rate is 93.4 percent.
