226 test positive on Monday

Kathmandu, June 1-Nepal registered the biggest single day rise in COVID-19 cases with 226 persons testing positive on Monday.

The total number of persons diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nepal has now reached 1,798, according to the Health Ministry. The number of cases has been rising in recent days due to return of a large number of Nepalis from India and expansion in the scope of testing.

Eight persons have succumbed to the virus until now while 221 have recovered.
