Kulman is a good and professional person, I do not doubt his ability: Nawaraj Silwal

Kathmandu, August 4 – CPN-UML MP Nawaraj Silwal has said that they are trying to force the idea that no one can run the Nepal Electricity Authority except Kulman Ghising. He said that such an idea would lead our organization and system to failure.

“Kulman is a good and professional person. I don’t doubt his ability, but the way in which no one but Kulman can run for office in the country is being used so forcefully that it will lead our organization and system to failure,” Silwal wrote on social media.

He has mentioned that the system and culture of the institutions should be modified in a timely manner rather than individuals.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal are preparing to bring Ghising as the executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. According to the source, Energy Minister Bhusal has asked the NEA’s current executive director Hitendra Dev Shakya to resign.

The previous government led by KP Sharma Oli did not give continuity to Ghising and came under the leadership of Shakya Authority.
